Do you have in your Zimmerman genealogy a Roland Zimmerman b 25 Oct 1794 Union,
Schuylkil Co, PA; died there 16 Aug 1883. I very much would like to learn names of his parents.

Ruth, we have at least two lines of Zimmermans in Somerset Co. As you can see from my writing, I’ve concentrated on the northern ones from Quemahoning Twp. Coming from Germany very early, ours center around the Mt. Tabor German Reformed Church, which came to be called the Zimmerman Church. I’ll keep you informed as I find more. Hope you’ll do the same. Larry

I have been tracing my family back and have hit a wall with Henry or Heinrich Zimmerman born 1780 in Minden, Prussia. He married Mary Wallager. Do you have any info that might help?

    • admin says:

      Michael,
Sorry to say that I have not encountered your Zimmermans, but then I haven’t done any Vitals on mine as they were back quite a ways. Please check back. Thanks for your interest,
      Larry

  3. Tayla Zimmerman says:

Hi I am a Zimmerman and have been trying to trace back the history as it is very interesting that my great grandfather Vincent Farley Zimmerman was a twin and got separated at a young age during WW1. Do you perhaps know anything about him or any other information?

    • admin says:

Hi Tayla. You don’t say where your Zimmermans were from. My wife’s Somerset County, PA, family came from the eastern counties. As I do “straight line” family history, I haven’t encountered your names. Perhaps a cousin will read your inquiry and be able to help. Thanks for your interest. Larry
