    My 3rd g grandfather was William Gray (Junior ?? nick name) Married to Mary Jane Harmon. 2nd g was Warren Doodly Gray and g grandpa was Thomas Hood Ward maried Laura Ella Gray.

      Hi Connie,
      You don’t mention any dates or locations, but the wive’s surnames certainly have a local ring. I have our William Sylvester Gray’s father as James, but my late aunt didn’t think that was correct. Maybe it was William? Or do you mean William & Elizabeth’s son was a Jr. (William Sumner Gray)? Both our William & James show up in early Deer/West Deer Twp censes. We know that the William who married Elizabeth Leslie got part of the farm, but one census says he was a “butcher” too. Thanks for the info. Please stay in touch.

    My Grandfather was John Gray who lived in Bonny River, New Brunswick, Canada. Married Ella Gilmore. Sorry don’t have birth dates but would have been early 1900’s.
