John, Sr.<\/strong> (1749-1837) b. Frederick, MD; r. Franklin Co., Stoystown, Somerset Co. &\u00a0 Washington Twp., Indiana Co., PA (son of Henry & Anna Margarete Sell)
\n-military: enlisted June 1776, Flying Camp<\/a>, MD; fought many battles including Trenton, Princeton, Long Island, & Brandywine. Believed to have crossed the Delaware River with Gen. Washington, Christmas 1776. See his 1836 pension application.<\/a>\u00a0He died of a heart attack at age 88 before receiving anything.
\n-burial: at some point\/for some reason remains were removed to Washington Township, Indiana Co., PA.<\/p>\n

Susanna<\/strong> Helmann (1756-1827) b. York Co., PA; r. Stoystown, Somerset Co., PA (daughter of George Sebastian, Sr. & Christina\u00a0Cook\u00a0Helmann<\/a>)
