Cove, Accident, Garrett Co., MD (son of Ludwig Wilhelm Ferdinand and Friedericke Hilcken Krause<\/a>; Farmer\/blacksmith) Because the family lived on the farm next to the church, he was appointed the first “Bellringer” at St. John’s, a very important responsibility in those days.

If she was on the ship, she had another surname (wife\/widow) as their were no other Krauses on board.\u00a0US citizenship papers signed in Garrett County, MD, 1884<\/p>\n
