+ Sister of Annie K. Brown (1829-1890)?, who was wife of George Hoffman (1828-1907) \u2013 parents of Rachel Elizabeth Hoffman (1866-1946), who was wife of William James Campbell (1859-1954). This was probably a case of third generation cousins marrying when my grandfather, Paul Barton Gray (1892-1977), Elizabeth Brown\u2019s grandson, married Bertha Ione Campbell (1893-1980), Annie Brown\u2019s granddaughter. Notice that Elizabeth and Annie each have the middle initial \u201cK,\u201d which we believe stood for Katarina.<\/p>\n
