<\/a><\/p>\nLocation:<\/strong> Outside<\/p>\n Using all of your five senses that are relevant. Describe your experiences with the mist\/fog? What do you know about mist?<\/strong> I love looking at clouds against a beautiful blue sky. I am drawn into the beauty of God’s infinite creation. \ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc<\/p>\n Does mist make you feel a certain way? What does fog make you think<\/strong> What do you know and observe of God\u2019s Word and world? (Wonder, Think, and Make Connections.) Why might God have created fog? What are his purposes for it?<\/strong> God is totally in charge of the appearance of the sky. What a great God He is. The different colors of clouds mean different weather on the earth. The Bible <\/em>has used the word “cloud” to signify God’s presence. Many references will describe this later.<\/p>\n What might fog communicate about who God is, who we are, or about this world?<\/strong> God will not allow us to see Him. He is more than we can stand to see.<\/p>\n How might fog help you pray or lead you to pray? <\/strong>Clouds make me look at God in awe of His greatness.<\/p>\n What circumstances of your life relate to fog that you might pray about?<\/strong> As God so quickly change s the appearance of clouds, He remains in control of the atmosphere, just as He remains in control of my life amid ever changing circumstances.<\/p>\n What do the Scripture passages confirm and\/or confront in your wondering, thinking, and\/or reflecting on mist?<\/strong>\u00a0“A miraculous vertical cloud forms close to the ground” representing God’s presence with Israel during their wondering in the wilderness (Exodus\u00a0<\/em>13: 12); and “The Lord descended on the cloud and stood there with him (Moses) as he called upon the name of the Lord.” (Exodus <\/em>34: 5) The New Testament describes “The Son (Christ) … returning in a cloud,” (Mark <\/em>13: 26) and later says that “A cloud received Him.” (Acts <\/em>1:9)\u00a0\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc\ufffc<\/p>\n What else did you learn about fog from the Scriptures?<\/strong> I used to think of clouds only as drops of water. Now I see them as “God’s venue.”<\/p>\n How has God spoken to you through His world and His Word today?<\/strong> I marvel that God has to shield Himself from men, or we would die.<\/p>\n What application does this meditation have for your life?<\/strong> It brings praise to my lips.<\/p>\n How might this element serve as an ongoing prompt for meditation and prayer?<\/strong> Every time I see a cloud in the sky I think how great God is.<\/p>\n How long did you spend on this mist meditation?<\/strong> One – two hours.<\/p>\n What prompted you to pick this particular meditation?<\/strong> I just love pretty white clouds in a glorious blue sky.<\/p>\n RELATED VERSES<\/p>\n – “I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and – “When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth.” (Jeremiah\u00a0<\/em>10: 13)<\/p>\n – “The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor.” (Proverbs\u00a0<\/em>21: 6)<\/p>\n – “Therefore they shall be like the morning mist or like the dew that goes early way… ” (Hosea\u00a0<\/em>13: 3)<\/p>\n – “These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm.
