The printed information atop the copy of the original document is unfortunately incorrect, done by someone else. Your affectionate Friends.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">Signed by order and on Behalf of the said Meeting by<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">[signature]<em> Benjamin Lightfoot, Clk.<\/em> [He was also the first sheriff of Berks Co. 1752-1755.]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Monthly Quaker, or the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/History_of_the_Quakers\">Religious Society of Friends<\/a>, meetings rotated between Exeter (Oley), Maiden Creek, and Reading, PA, at that time. The famous Hochstetler Massacre occurred just 12 miles away at the Northkill Amish settlement.
