Magdalena Stald* (1718-1784) b. Fishpur, Switzerland; r. Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, & Somerset Co. (parents unknown)
-burial: no tombstone found, but believed to lie in Saylor Burial ground with Jacob. She may have died before he moved to Somerset County.

*other spellings are Staldt, Stalk, & Stalder

Married: 1739

Emigration: 1749 aboard the Phoenix to Philadelphia. He was ordained the first Mennonite minister in Somerset County, PA.

1. John, Sr. (1740-1822) b. Germany or Berks Co., PA; r. Somerset Co. (m. Caterina Berkey 1761; they had 9 children; she died in 1809)

3. Catherine “Catrina” (before 1749-1799) b. Germany; r. Somerset Co. (m. Christian Berkey – our line) should no be confused with brother John’s wife of the same name
4. Anna “Nancy” (aft. 1749-1798) b & r Somerset Co. (m. Christian Gnaegi)
