b & r West Deer Twp, PA (son of William Sylvester Gray & Elizabeth Leslie; Farmer; my great-grandfather) went to MO with brother Samuel after the Civil War to each claim 50 acres under the Homestead Act, but sold land to his brother and returned home to run the family farm
-military: GAR  6th PA Infantry Reg., Co. A (Heavy Artillery 1864-65) guarded capitol at Washington, DC
